Cable Shrug

Instructions
A shrug performed against a low cable. The pulley keeps steady tension on the upper traps through the whole lift, including the bottom where free weights tend to go slack.

Setup
- 1Set the pulley to the lowest position and attach a straight bar, or use a handle on each side of a dual station.
- 2Grip the attachment with your arms straight and stand tall, close enough that the cable runs nearly straight up.
- 3Set your feet hip-width apart, soften your knees, and let your shoulders settle down.
Execution
- 1Keeping your arms straight, lift your shoulders straight up toward your ears.
