Chin-Tuck Neck Stretch
Also known as: Back of Neck Stretch, Neck Flexion Stretch, Suboccipital Stretch
Instructions
Tucking the chin and then letting the head drop forward lengthens the muscles along the back of the neck and the top of the traps. It is gentle, quick and useful any time the neck feels heavy.

Setup
- 1Sit or stand tall with the shoulders relaxed and the hands resting in the lap.
Execution
- 1Draw the chin straight back as if making a double chin.
- 2Keeping the chin tucked, let the head drop forward until you feel a stretch down the back of the neck.
- 3Rest the hands lightly on the back of the head if you want a little more, then hold.
- 4Lift the head slowly to finish.
