Cable Straight-Arm Pulldown

Instructions
With nearly straight arms, you sweep a cable bar from eye level down to your thighs. Because the elbows hardly bend, your lats do the work without your biceps giving out first.

Setup
- 1Set the pulley to its highest position and attach a straight bar or rope.
- 2Grip the bar with palms down, step back a pace or two, and hinge forward slightly at the hips.
- 3Start with your arms reaching up toward the pulley and a soft bend in your elbows.
Execution
- 1Keeping that same soft elbow bend, sweep the bar down in a wide arc toward your thighs.
- 2Squeeze your lats as the bar reaches your legs.
