Cobra Stretch

Instructions
A face-down stretch where you lift your chest while your hips stay on the floor, lengthening the front of the trunk and hips. A nice counterpart to crunches and long periods of sitting.

Setup
- 1Lie face down on a mat with your legs long and the tops of your feet on the floor.
- 2Place your hands under your shoulders with elbows tucked close to your sides.
Execution
- 1Press lightly through your hands and peel your chest off the floor, leading with the breastbone.
- 2Keep your hips and thighs resting on the mat and your elbows softly bent.
- 3Rise only until you feel a mild stretch along your stomach — staying on your forearms is fine.
