Cross-Body Mountain Climber

Instructions
A mountain climber in which each knee drives across the body toward the opposite elbow. The twist brings the sides of the waist into a move that is otherwise all hip flexors.

Setup
- 1Start in a straight-arm plank with the hands under the shoulders.
- 2Brace the trunk and keep the hips level with the shoulders.
Execution
- 1Drive one knee under the body toward the opposite elbow.
- 2Return it and drive the other knee across.
- 3Keep the hips low and the pace steady for the whole time.
Breathing
Exhale as each knee crosses; inhale as it returns.
