From a straight-arm plank, you drive your knees toward your chest one at a time at a brisk pace. It challenges your trunk to stay steady while your heart rate climbs.

Setup
- 1Place your hands on the floor under your shoulders and step back into a straight-arm plank.
- 2Set your feet about hip-width apart and tighten your midsection.
Execution
- 1Pull one knee toward your chest without letting your hips rise.
- 2Switch legs quickly, sending the first foot back as the other knee comes forward.
- 3Keep alternating at a steady rhythm while your shoulders stay over your hands.
