Step Calf Raise

Instructions
A calf raise with the balls of the feet on the edge of a step so the heels can drop below the toes. The extra stretch at the bottom makes every rep count for more.

Setup
- 1Stand on the edge of a stair or step with the balls of the feet on the edge and the heels hanging free.
- 2Hold a rail or wall lightly for balance.
Execution
- 1Lower the heels below the step until you feel a stretch in the calves.
- 2Rise onto the toes as high as possible and pause for a second.
- 3Lower slowly back into the stretch and repeat.
Breathing
Exhale as you rise; inhale as the heels drop.
