Cable Hip Abduction

Instructions
Standing side-on to a low pulley, you lift the outside leg out to the side against the cable. It targets the muscles on the outer hip that keep your pelvis level when you walk, run, and squat.

Setup
- 1Set the pulley to its lowest position and fasten an ankle strap around the ankle farther from the machine.
- 2Stand side-on to the machine and hold the frame with your near hand.
- 3Stand tall on the inside leg with the working foot just off the floor and slightly in front of the standing foot.
Execution
- 1Keep your torso upright and your toes pointing forward.
- 2Lift the strapped leg straight out to the side, leading with your heel.
