Hand-Release Push-Up

Instructions
A push-up where the chest rests fully on the floor and the hands lift for a moment before every press. Removing the bounce at the bottom makes each rep honest and builds strength from a dead stop.

Setup
- 1Set up in a push-up position with hands just wider than your shoulders.
- 2Brace your trunk so hips, shoulders and heels form a straight line.
Execution
- 1Lower under control until your chest and thighs rest on the floor.
- 2Lift both hands a few centimetres off the floor, then place them back down.
- 3Press the whole body up as one piece to straight arms.
