Plate Front Raise

Instructions
You hold a single weight plate with both hands and lift it in front of you to shoulder height. A simple way to train the front of the shoulders when a plate is the nearest thing to hand.

Setup
- 1Take a light weight plate from the barbell set and hold it by its sides, as if gripping a steering wheel.
- 2Stand tall with your feet about hip-width apart and the plate resting in front of your thighs.
- 3Keep a slight bend in your elbows and brace your midsection gently.
Execution
- 1Raise the plate forward and up in a smooth arc.
- 2Stop when it reaches about shoulder height and your arms are level with the floor.
