Instructions
A push-up performed with the shoulders leaning far in front of the hands throughout. The forward lean turns a chest exercise into a demanding shoulder and straight-arm strength builder.

Setup
- 1Place your hands by your lower ribs with fingers turned outward or back.
- 2Get into a push-up position and lean the shoulders forward past the wrists.
- 3Round the upper back slightly and tuck the pelvis so the body is hollow.
Execution
- 1Keep the lean as you bend the elbows and lower the chest toward the floor.
- 2The elbows travel back along the ribs, not out to the sides.
