Reverse Lunge Reach
Also known as: Lunge with Overhead Reach, Dynamic Hip Flexor Lunge
Instructions
Stepping back into a lunge while reaching both arms overhead and slightly back opens the front of the rear hip with every rep. It is a moving version of the hip flexor stretch that also warms the legs.

Setup
- 1Stand tall with the feet hip-width apart and the arms by your sides.
Execution
- 1Step one foot back into a lunge, lowering the rear knee toward the floor.
- 2As you lower, reach both arms overhead and lean slightly back until the front of the rear hip stretches.
- 3Drive through the front foot to stand and bring the arms down.
- 4Alternate legs each rep.
Breathing
Inhale as you reach and lower; exhale as you stand.
