Tuck L-Sit

Instructions
Sitting with the hands on the floor beside the hips, you press down and lift the whole body off the floor with the knees tucked to the chest. It is the first step toward the L-sit and a fierce test of pressing-down strength and hip flexors.

Setup
- 1Sit on the floor with the knees bent and the hands flat beside the hips, fingers pointing forward or slightly out.
- 2Parallettes or two sturdy blocks make it easier by giving the hips more room to lift.
Execution
- 1Push the floor down hard, lock the elbows and lift the hips and feet off the floor.
- 2Pull the knees up toward the chest and round the upper back slightly.
