Instructions
A lunge where your feet stay planted in a staggered stance and you simply move up and down. With no stepping to manage, it is the easiest way to learn single-leg strength work and find your balance.

Setup
- 1Stand tall and take a long step forward so your feet are staggered, about hip-width apart side to side.
- 2Rise onto the ball of your back foot and keep your front foot flat.
- 3Hold your hands on your hips or in front of your chest, or rest one hand on a wall if you want support.
Execution
- 1Bend both knees and lower your hips straight down between your feet.
- 2Stop when your back knee hovers just above the floor.
