Clasped-Hands Chest Stretch
Also known as: Hands-Behind-Back Stretch, Standing Chest Opener
Instructions
Standing tall, you clasp the hands behind the back, straighten the arms and lift them slightly while the chest opens. It takes no space and no equipment, and it is a quick reset after pushing or long hours at a desk.

Setup
- 1Stand with the feet hip-width apart and interlace the fingers behind the lower back.
- 2Pull the shoulders back and down.
Execution
- 1Straighten the elbows and lift the clasped hands slightly away from the body.
- 2Lift the chest and keep the chin level, feeling the stretch across the chest and front of the shoulders.
- 3Hold, then release slowly.
Breathing
Breathe slowly; on each exhale, let the shoulders drop a little further.
