Dumbbell Step-Up

Instructions
Holding a dumbbell in each hand, you step up onto a bench and stand tall on one leg. Builds single-leg strength that carries over to stairs, hills, and sport.

Setup
- 1Place a sturdy bench on a non-slip surface and check that it does not wobble.
- 2Hold a dumbbell in each hand at your sides and stand facing the bench.
- 3Place your whole right foot flat on the bench.
Execution
- 1Lean slightly forward and press through the foot on the bench to lift yourself up.
- 2Stand fully tall on top, bringing the trailing foot up to meet the working one.
