Handstand Shoulder Tap

Instructions
While holding a chest-to-wall handstand you shift your weight onto one hand and tap the opposite shoulder. Each tap briefly turns the hold into a one-arm balance, building the control needed for freestanding work.

Setup
- 1Walk up into a chest-to-wall handstand with the hands about a hand's length from the wall.
- 2Press tall through the shoulders and squeeze the legs together.
Execution
- 1Shift your weight onto one hand by leaning slightly toward it.
- 2Lift the other hand and tap the same-side shoulder, then return it to the floor.
- 3Shift the other way and tap with the opposite hand.
