Incline Barbell Bench Press

Instructions
A barbell press done on a bench tilted partway up. The angle sends more of the work to the upper chest and front of the shoulders, and the bar makes it easy to add weight in small steps.

Setup
- 1Set an adjustable bench inside the rack at a moderate incline, roughly a third of the way toward upright.
- 2Place the bar at a height you can reach with a slight bend in your elbows.
- 3Sit back with your eyes under the bar and plant both feet flat on the floor.
- 4Grip the bar a little wider than your shoulders, thumbs wrapped around it.
- 5Draw your shoulder blades back and down into the pad, then lift the bar out over your shoulders.
