Handstand Push-Up Negative

Instructions
From a wall-supported handstand you lower your head slowly toward the floor, then come down and reset rather than pressing back up. Slow lowering builds the strength for a full handstand push-up safely.

Setup
- 1Fold a mat or cushion under where your head will land.
- 2Kick up or walk up into a handstand with your heels resting on the wall and hands about shoulder-width apart.
Execution
- 1Bend the elbows and lower your head toward the cushion over three to five seconds.
- 2Keep the elbows tracking forward and slightly out, and the body tight against the wall.
- 3Touch the cushion softly, then tuck and come down from the wall to reset.
