Standing Knee Drive

Instructions
From a staggered stance you drive the back knee up powerfully toward the chest while the arms pull down, then step back and repeat fast. It gives the heart-rate lift of high knees without leaving the ground.

Setup
- 1Stand with one foot a stride behind the other and both arms reaching overhead.
- 2Shift the weight onto the front foot.
Execution
- 1Drive the back knee up toward the chest as the arms pull down to the hips.
- 2Reach the leg back and the arms up again, tapping the toe behind you.
- 3Repeat quickly for half the time, then switch legs for the rest.
Breathing
Exhale sharply as the knee drives up; inhale as the leg reaches back.
