Cable Lateral Raise

Instructions
Standing side-on to a low cable, you raise one arm out to the side until it is level with your shoulder. The cable pulls from the very start of the lift, so the side of the shoulder works through the full range.

Setup
- 1Set a pulley to its lowest position and attach a single handle.
- 2Stand side-on to the machine and hold the handle in the hand farther from it, so the cable crosses in front of your body.
- 3Hold the machine frame with your free hand and keep a small, fixed bend in your working elbow.
Execution
- 1Raise your arm out to the side, leading with your elbow.
- 2Stop when your hand reaches about shoulder height.
