Curtsy Lunge

Instructions
A reverse lunge where the back foot steps behind and across the body, like a curtsy. The diagonal step asks more of the outer hip and glute of the front leg than a straight lunge does.

Setup
- 1Stand tall with your feet hip-width apart and hands on your hips or clasped at your chest.
- 2Shift your weight onto one leg and tighten your midsection.
Execution
- 1Step the free foot back and across behind your standing leg, landing on the ball of the foot.
- 2Bend both knees and lower until the front thigh is near level with the floor.
- 3Keep your hips and chest facing forward and your front knee in line with your toes.
