Instructions
You lift a loaded barbell from the floor to a tall standing position. It trains nearly the whole back side of the body at once and allows very heavy loading.

Setup
- 1Stand with feet hip-width apart and the bar over the middle of your feet.
- 2Push your hips back and bend down to grip the bar just outside your legs.
- 3Bend your knees until your shins lightly touch the bar, without rolling it forward.
- 4Lift your chest until your back is flat and your arms are straight and tight against your sides.
Execution
- 1Take a big breath, brace your midsection, and pull the slack out of the bar before it leaves the floor.
