Suspension Row
Also known as: Strap Row, Suspended Bodyweight Row
Instructions
Leaning back on the straps, you pull your chest up to your hands with your body held straight. Your body angle sets the difficulty: walk your feet forward to make it harder, back to make it easier.
- Movement
- Horizontal pull
- Type
- Compound
- Level
- Beginner
- Typical range
- 6–20 reps
Setup
- 1Anchor the straps overhead and adjust them so the handles hang at about waist height.
- 2Face the anchor, hold a handle in each hand, and lean back until your arms are straight.
- 3Walk your feet forward until the lean feels challenging; a steeper lean is harder.
Execution
- 1Tighten your glutes and midsection so you form one straight line from head to heels.
- 2Pull your chest toward your hands, driving your elbows back beside your ribs.
