Barbell Good Morning
Also known as: Good Morning, Back-Loaded Hip Hinge
Instructions
A hip hinge with the bar on your upper back instead of in your hands. Light loads go a long way here, strengthening the hamstrings and the muscles that hold your back position.

Setup
- 1Set the bar in a rack just below shoulder height and place it across your upper back.
- 2Unrack it and step back, standing with feet about hip-width apart.
- 3Unlock your knees slightly and pull the bar snugly into your back.
Execution
- 1Brace your trunk and push your hips straight back as your chest tips forward.
- 2Keep your back flat and your knees softly bent as you lower.
