Barbell Overhead Press

Instructions
Standing tall, you press a barbell from your upper chest to straight arms overhead. It builds strong shoulders and asks your whole body to stay tight underneath the bar.

Setup
- 1Set the bar in the rack at about upper-chest height.
- 2Grip it just outside your shoulders, with your forearms upright when viewed from the front.
- 3Step under the bar, lift it onto the top of your chest, and take a step or two back.
- 4Stand with feet about hip-width apart, glutes squeezed, and ribs pulled down.
Execution
- 1Press the bar straight up, tucking your chin back slightly so the bar can pass your face.
